Minutes of the SEWrority Sisters Quilting Guild – March 29, 2025
Linda Brown, President called the meeting to order at 10:31 A.M.
• No meeting Memorial Day weekend enjoy your time with family and friends.
• Meeting dates changed to the first Saturday of each month.
• Webite update to new venue starting June.
Welcome Committee Lu Enloe welcomed visitors.
Gail McLain, presented door prize winner.
Susanne Lawson, Chairwoman of BOM Committee- reported that 40 blocks were in turned for March. Be sure to put your name and date on the back of your donated quilt blocks.
Debbie Sutton, Chairwoman of Fundraising Committee- Announced the blue and white top is complete and ready to be quilted. The BOM raffle quilt is in progress of being assembled.
Sandy Burnett, Chairwoman of WIP – Announced that 20 participants in the WIP this year. WIP #1 is due March 29, 2025.
Anita Roger, Chairwoman of Community Outreach Committee- announced we have 37 quilts ready to be donated and 3 quilts that need to be bound.
• April 19 is Community sew day @ Cornerstone Baptist
Robyn Shreve, Chairwoman of Quilt of Valor Committee – announced that we had three QOV presentation in March. We will have one QOVV presentation in April and two in June 2025. The guild has 17 quilts ready to be presented to a qualified veteran.
Cathy Poyner, Chairwoman of Retreat Committee- Announced the Covington Retreat balance is due by the April guild meeting. We have 22 registered for the Covington Retreat.
• Fall retreat in Fort Valley is less expensive at $241 for double occupancy. Registration will open after May retreat.
Jill Rains, Chairwoman of Programs Committee- Presented a program Tips and tricks using AccuQuilt cutting system.
Show and Tell- quilts were presented to the guild and enjoyed by all members.
Debbie Sutton, Chairwoman of Fundraising, drew monthly raffle winner and birthday basket drawings.
