Minutes of the SEWrority Sisters Quilting Guild – June 7, 2025
Linda Brown, President called the meeting to order at 10:30 A.M.
Excited to be in our new space at Philomena Family Center of Focus
Welcome Committee Lu Enloe welcomed visitors and QOV honorees and family.
Gail McLain presented door prize winner Janet.
Robyn Shreve, Chairwoman of Quilt of Valor Committee – presentation for four veterans and reception held for
veterans and their families.
Sandy Burnett, Chairwoman of WIP – Announced that 20 participants in the WIP this year. WIP #3 is due.
Brenda Bannister, Member of BOM Committee- Reported that sixteen BOM were turned in for June with a total of eighty-seven quilt blocks for the year. Please be sure to put your name and date on the back of your donated quilt blocks.
Anita Rodger, Chairwoman of Community Outreach- Appreciation given to the guild members efforts to make quilts for Oak View Nursing Home and Project Linus.
Linda Brown, Guild President-announced for Retreat Committee- Announced the Fall retreat in Fort Valley is less expensive at $241 for double occupancy. Registration is now open.
Jill Raines, Chairwoman of Programs- Introduced the program for June
• Kathy Seaman Shaw A crazy quilt trunk show.
Show and Tell- many beautiful quilts and projects were shared by guild members.
Debbi Sutton, Chairwoman of Fundraising Committee- Drew the winning tickets for the monthly prize.
Karen Frieberg, Chairwoman of Sunshine Committee- Presented the winner of the June birthday baskets.

• July meeting will be held on July the Fourth.
• The nominating committee is currently looking for people to serve on various committees.

• Upcoming mini-retreat September 18th-20th at Cornerstone Baptist.
